About the presentation

Since May 2025 Johann Wadephul's work as Federal Foreign Minister has been conducted largely in public view: handshakes in front of flags, press statements at lecterns, appearances at the United Nations. This archive gathers a selection of those images alongside two portraits. It is arranged for visual rhythm rather than chronology; the dated record is on the timeline, and the journeys behind several of these pictures are discussed under international engagement.

Every photograph appears at its natural proportions. Nothing has been cropped to fit a grid, so portrait and landscape frames sit side by side at their original shapes. Select any image to view it larger; use the arrow keys to move through the archive and Escape to close.

About these images

johannwadephul.com is an independent editorial profile. It is not affiliated with Johann Wadephul, the CDU or the Federal Foreign Office, and the photographs here are used for editorial illustration only.

New Delhi
Talks with S. Jaishankar at Hyderabad House and a call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 3 September 2025.
Rabat
Strategic dialogue with Nasser Bourita, 29 April 2026.
Ottawa
Reception with Anita Anand marking German Unity Day and 75 years of relations, around 25 September 2026.
Washington
Talks with Marco Rubio at the State Department, 28 May 2025; a further visit took place in January 2026.

The images without a date are not assigned one here. Wadephul met Gideon Sa'ar several times in 2025 and 2026, held talks at the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Ankara in October 2025 and attended the UN General Assembly in both 2025 and 2026, so the setting alone does not settle the occasion. For the context of these encounters, see international relations and the timeline.
